A further look revealed that both fans and teams dished out around $8M in accommodations, $5.2M in bars, and no less than $2M for other promotions.
This study discovered that 86% of the 70,000 attendees live outside Orange County. Those who were interviewed were from 79 states, all who saw the Capital One Bowl live.
